Day 1: Welcome to New York
Greetings from New York City! Enjoy a casual welcome at the hotel in the evening with your group and tour guide. In the meanwhile, feel free to explore New York’s well-known streets like a local or relax in preparation for our amazing journey!
Day 2: Explore Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York.
After leaving New York for Philadelphia, we spend the morning touring the stunning historic area of the “City of Brotherly Love” and the country’s birthplace. Take in sights like the Liberty Bell and meander through the mall and Independence National Historic Park. Next, proceed to Washington, D.C., the famous capital of the country.
Day 3: Discovery in Washington, D.C.
Ready to take a deep dive into the capital? Accompany your knowledgeable guide to discover everything there is to know about the magnificent sites, including the JFK Memorial site at Arlington National Cemetery, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, and the U.S. Capitol Building. Spend your afternoons as you want. You may take a stroll along the Potomac River’s banks or visit one of the many museums, which includes the well-known Smithsonian Institute.
Day 4: Journey through Gettysburg, Washington, D.C., and Niagara Falls, Canada
We travel north and stop at the Gettysburg National Military Park. Both Abraham Lincoln’s renowned speech from 1863 and one of the American Civil War’s most significant and well-known battles occurred here. After that, we drive across upstate New York to Buffalo, and then we cross the border into Canada, where the air is thick with the tremendous mist and thunderous boom of Niagara Falls.
Day 5: Travel to Detroit, The Great Lakes, and Niagara Falls
Enjoy the breathtaking vistas of the renowned Niagara Falls to start this amazing day. With your tour guide, stroll Table Rock while taking in the roaring Horseshoe Falls. We arrive at our hotel in “Motor City USA,” a Detroit suburb, after returning to the country in the late afternoon.
Day 6: Discovery of Detroit and Chicago
We visit the Henry Ford Museum and the Ford River Rouge Factory this morning to learn why Detroit is known as the Motor City. We will visit the adjacent Ford plant after some time to browse the many exhibitions and observe how modern cars are made on the always bustling manufacturing floor. We say goodbye to Detroit and head south of Lake Michigan on our way inland to Chicago, where we spend the night.
Day 7: Tour of Chicago
Take a quick tour of the city’s top attractions, such as Navy Pier, Lake Shore Drive, and the Magnificent Mile, to start the day. The remainder of the day is yours to spend as you choose exploring Chicago, dubbed the “Windy City.” Admire the breathtakingly striking architecture of Chicago’s downtown area or the inspirational art in one of the city’s well-known museums without restriction.
Day 8: Travel through Chicago, Sioux Falls, and the Mississippi River crossing
Pass by a lot of dairy farms and corn and wheat fields as you travel across the Midwest. Riding across the massive Mississippi River, we enter Iowa and arrive at the same spot on the banks of the Missouri River that the Lewis & Clark Expedition did two centuries prior. We travel to Sioux Falls so we can have a cool break.
Day 9: Travel via Deadwood/Rapid City, Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, Badlands National Park, and Sioux Falls
Proceed to Badlands National Park by heading west through South Dakota’s expansive and verdant plains. Once home to antelope and buffalo, this natural wonderland is full of stunning, vibrantly colored rock formations. Next, we proceed to the Black Hills, which are considered holy by the Native Americans and are the location of the renowned Mount Rushmore. We head to Rapid City to spend the night when we’ve had enough time to take in the breathtaking vistas.
Day 10: Trip to Cody, Deadwood, and Rapid City in the Bighorn Mountains
We keep traveling in the direction of the breathtaking state of Wyoming, which is made up of twelve mountain ranges, wide deserts, and undulating grasslands. We will sleep in preparation for tomorrow’s exciting day in Cody. Should inclement weather or unfavorable road conditions in Yellowstone prevent us from staying overnight in Cody, we will spend the night in Billings, Livingston, Montana.
Day 11: Journey via Yellowstone National Park and Cody
Travel beyond the Wyoming highlands to reach Yellowstone, the nation’s first national park! Take an in-depth tour of this vast geothermal wonderland, complete with waterfalls, geysers, canyons, vibrant fauna, and more, by traveling with your knowledgeable guide! The magnificent falls of Yellowstone Canyon, Old Faithful, Yellowstone Lake, and the stunning Hayden Valley are just a few of the amazing features.
Day 12: Travel through Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and Salt Lake City
Depending on the weather, we will traverse Grand Teton National Park today to see stunning peaks rising more than 3,900 meters. Check out the breathtaking scenery captured in Ansel Adam’s renowned black-and-white photograph at the Snake River Outlook. Take a quick tour of Salt Lake City, the state capital of Utah, after arriving. Utah is well-known for its Mormon community. See how one of the nation’s best-planned communities was constructed by Brigham Young’s Mormon followers. Before going to our accommodation for the night, we see the Tabernacle, the State Capital building, and famous Temple Square.
Day 13: Explore Bryce Canyon National Park and Salt Lake City
Set out to explore the breathtaking Bryce Canyon, where your guide will lead you through a multicolored world of eye-dazzling sandstone pinnacles and spires known as “hoodoos.” If the weather permits, spend this evening stargazing at the breathtaking constellations and glittering stars in the night sky.
Day 14: Travel to Flagstaff, Lake Powell, the Grand Canyon, and Bryce Canyon.
We ride on beyond Bryce Canyon to the breathtaking Lake Powell, where red-rock canyon walls soar above azure waters. The second-biggest artificial lake in America, Lake Powell, was created when the Colorado River was dammed. The renowned Grand Canyon National Park, one of the world’s seven major natural wonders, will be our next destination. It is known for its breathtaking scenery. To really enjoy and appreciate this mile-deep canyon with all of its meandering Colorado River, soaring spires, plummeting gorges, and extinct volcanoes, pause at the canyon’s rim. Riding down Historic Route 66 through Flagstaff will be our desired destination for the day’s sights.
Day15: Explore Seligman, Flagstaff, and Route 66 to Las Vegas
Cheers to Las Vegas! We departed early in the morning in the direction of Las Vegas, the glittering “Entertainment Capital of the World.” We will travel through the real town of Seligman along the well-known Route 66, which appears to have frozen in time sixty years ago. Explore the legendary Las Vegas Strip at your leisure for the remainder of the day.
Day 16: Tour Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, the Mojave Desert, and Las Vegas
Enjoy views of the picturesque Mojave Desert with its distinctive Joshua trees arranged against the backdrop of mountains as you ride towards Los Angeles on the western coast. After you arrive in Los Angeles, head to our hotel by joining your guide for a tour of the “City of Angels,” which includes stops at well-known locations including Hollywood, the Sunset Strip, and portions of Beverly Hills.
Day 17: Los Angeles departure
Our trip will end in Los Angeles after we say goodbye to our new friends and check-out of the hotel by 12:00pm.
