Day1: Greetings from Los Angeles
Welcome to the city of angels! Join your tour guide and your group for a casual welcome at the hotel in the evening. In the interim, feel free to explore Los Angeles’ streets like a local or take a nap in preparation for our exciting journey!
Day 2: Travel to Palm Springs, Phoenix, Los Angeles
We set out early in the morning, riding through a sea of wind turbines as we approach Palm Springs, a desert oasis located at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains! The Hollywood elite find this vibrant town to be the perfect winter vacation because of its renowned, immaculate golf courses. We proceed via Indio, the site of the Coachella Valley International Date Festival, arriving at our motel in Phoenix for a restful night.
Day 3: Tour of Phoenix, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon
The Sonoran Desert, the most biologically diversified desert habitat in America, is the first stop on our panoramic ride of the day. As you proceed in the direction of Sedona, you will pass by renowned red-rock monoliths like the Cathedral or Coffee Pot and be treated to breathtaking views of unusual geological formations. Subsequently, we journey through the magnificent Oak Creek Canyon, preparing the landscape for the renowned Grand Canyon National Park—one of the world’s seven natural wonders and one of the most striking scenes! To really enjoy and appreciate this vibrant, mile-deep canyon with all of its tumbling gorges and soaring spires carved by the forceful Colorado River, stop near the canyon’s rim.
Day 4: Travel through the Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon, and Page/Lake Powell
Travel via Cameron, a trading post, on your way to the Navajo Indian Reservation as you continue seeing the magnificent Southwest. Traveling through the enchanted Painted Desert to Monument Valley, take in the most famous example of the American West, with 300-meter-tall sandstone buttes scattered across a large expanse of terrain. We reach the town of Page late in the afternoon, which is situated by a stunning mesa that spans the Colorado River.
Day 5: Journey to Page/Lake Powell, Kanab, and Bryce Canyon
We continue our journey with a visit to the massive Glen Canyon structure, the country’s second-highest concrete arch structure. Admire the breathtaking vistas of Lake Powell, where crystalline blue waters are surrounded by red-rock canyon walls. Cruise via the village of Kanab on your way to the breathtaking Bryce Canyon in the Mormon state of Utah. Take a walk around a visually stunning world of multicolored sandstone pinnacles and spires, sometimes referred to as “hoodoos”! If the weather permits, spend this evening stargazing at the breathtaking constellations and glittering stars in the night sky.
Day 6: Explore the routes of Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Las Vegas
Today, we’ll start our journey in the well-known Zion National Park, where you can take in the breathtaking views of enormous rock formations sculpted over millions of years by the Virgin River and winds. Viva Las Vegas will be our catchphrase for the rest of the day! Discover the contrast of the vibrant “Entertainment Capital of the World,” Las Vegas, Nevada, in the afternoon. Savor 24-hour shopping, weekly performances, and some of the innumerable local attractions!
Day7: Take in Las Vegas
You have the entire day to spend as you like! Shop at designer outlet stores, visit world-class shows and musicals, try your luck at amazing casinos, and take a leisurely stroll down the famed Las Vegas Strip. Despite being referred to as “Sin City,” Las Vegas offers a wide range of family-friendly attractions!
Day 8: Discover Death Valley, Mammoth Lakes, and Las Vegas
We make a detour from the bright and busy Las Vegas to the desolate and harsh surroundings of Death Valley. We start by stopping for a brief picture at the famous Las Vegas Sign before moving on to Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek Ranch/Visitors Center. After traversing the valley, we head up the Sierra Nevada Mountains into the stunning Mammoth Lakes* ski resort town. Mammoth Lakes, a community known for its gold mining during the 19th-century gold rush, is now well-known for its breathtaking alpine scenery and skiing-friendly terrain.
*Winter Route: If Tioga Pass is blocked due to weather or road conditions, we will not be able to reach Mammoth Lakes and will have to stay in Fresno or Visalia. This route is for departures from October to May under typical snow conditions.
Day 9: Visit Mammoth/Fresno, Yosemite, and Modesto
If the weather permits, we begin the day with a breathtaking ride over Tioga Pass and into the immaculate Yosemite National Park. Once there, follow your knowledgeable guide to explore the valley floor and its innumerable treasures, which include the enormous, old sequoia trees, the glacier-like granite formations of El Capitan and Half Dome, the breathtaking Bridal Falls and Yosemite Falls, and much more! Tonight, we’re going to the nearby town of Modesto for a relaxing sleep.
Day 10: Explore Modesto, San Francisco
Head out early in the morning to San Francisco, often known as the “Golden City”! Take your tour guide on a thorough sightseeing tour of notable locations before checking into the hotel to get a sense of where you are. Explore the renowned city’s interior at your leisure during the day.
Day 11: Farewell, last day of travel to San Francisco
After bidding farewell to our newfound friends and checking out of the hotel by 11:00am, our journey will come to an end in San Francisco.
