TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1: Welcome to Los Angeles
Hi there, and welcome to Los Angeles! After checking into the hotel, you can either relax in preparation for our amazing journey ahead of you or go around Los Angeles like a local!
Day 2: Start in Los Angeles and proceed to the Mojave Desert and Las Vegas
As we begin our journey with a breathtaking drive through the Mojave Desert to Las Vegas, the glittering entertainment center of the globe, meet your tour guide in the lobby at 7:30 a.m. Are you prepared for nonstop enjoyment and top-notch amusement? Take the day to explore the legendary Las Vegas Strip at your leisure.
Day 3: Tour of Las Vegas, Death Valley, Mammoth Lakes/Fresnoy
We make a detour from the bright and busy Las Vegas to the desolate and harsh surroundings of Death Valley. We start by stopping for a brief picture at the famous Las Vegas Sign before moving on to Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek Ranch/Visitors Center. After traversing the valley, we head up the Sierra Nevada Mountains into the stunning Mammoth Lakes* ski resort town. Mammoth Lakes, a community known for its gold mining during the 19th-century gold rush, is now well-known for its breathtaking alpine scenery and skiing-friendly terrain. *Winter Route: If Tioga Pass is blocked due to weather or road conditions, we will not be able to reach Mammoth Lakes and will have to stay in Fresno. This route is for departures from October to May under typical snow conditions.
Day 4: Explore Mammoth/Fresno, Yosemite, Modesto
If the weather permits, we begin the day with a breathtaking ride over Tioga Pass and into the immaculate Yosemite National Park. Once there, follow your knowledgeable guide to explore the valley floor and its innumerable treasures, which include the enormous, old sequoia trees, the glacier-like granite formations of El Capitan and Half Dome, the breathtaking Bridal Falls and Yosemite Falls, and much more! Tonight, we’re going to the nearby town of Modesto for a relaxing sleep.
Day 5: Traveling to Modesto, San Francisco
Head out early in the morning to San Francisco, often known as the “Golden City”! Take your tour guide on a thorough sightseeing tour of notable locations before checking into the hotel to get a sense of where you are. Explore the renowned city from top to bottom during the afternoon at your leisure. You might even decide to take the optional City by Night Tour.
Day 6: Optional Tour of Napa Valley and San Francisco
You have the day to do as you please—San Francisco offers it all! Please do not hesitate to ask your tour guide for advice or help with scheduling. Enjoy a genuine “taste of San Francisco” by riding the cable car to Fisherman’s Wharf and taking in the views of the well-known Alcatraz island while indulging on fresh seafood and the distinctive sourdough breads. Wander around Union Square, which is crowded with stores and eateries. As an alternative, you can opt for an optional visit to Napa Valley, which is well-known for its upscale vineyards and captivating landscapes.
Day 7: Tour San Francisco, Monterey/Carmel, and Central Coast
Drive along the coast to the Monterey Peninsula, which is renowned for its quaint houses lining gorgeous beaches, after leaving San Francisco in the morning. Here, we explore Fisherman’s Wharf and the well-known Cannery Row before taking a tour of Carmel-by-the-Sea, a town straight out of a fairy tale. This little seaside town is well-known for its distinctive architecture, high-end shops, and art galleries. We continue our journey southeast through the charming town of Paso Robles, where we will spend the night on the Central Coast.
Day 8: Complete the trip from the Central Coast to Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Santa Barbara
Take in the beauty of palm-lined streets flanking expansive white sand beaches as you drive further south on the highway through the Santa Ynez valley into Santa Barbara. Our next destination is Santa Monica, the last location along Historic Route 66, where you are welcome to have lunch on the pier if you’d like. Take an orientation trip with your guide when you arrive in Los Angeles, covering well-known locations like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Century City. This marks the conclusion of our amazing journey as we say goodbye to our newfound companions.
